You may very well be wondering how we occupy ourselves on these long days at the beach or in the forest, without the excitement of work to keep us busy. Well, here is a little sampling of our daily life..

Created with the help of Brett at the Christchurch Botanical Garden, these little flower people took a good half an hour of careful design and construction.

At Okains' Bay, Sean built this seaside city. Our favorite part was the happy little crab at the left end of town.

Meanwhile, Louisa worked on her drawing with this sand portrait of Sean.

Sean spends a good deal of time studying Celtic art and creating beautiful artwork.

Lou reading the cookbook she got as a birthday present from Andrea. The Art of Simple Food by Alice Waters...her new food bible. She estimates that she has read over 30 books in the past eight months. It's like heaven!

Sean working on his drumming. (Thank you Cait for bringing the sticks!) We found this soccer ball at a campground and have used it, not just for muffling drumming practice, but for a bit of exercise outside as well.
We also spend a lot of time taking walks, journaling, plotting for our future, and sleeping-in to our heart's content.
I LOVE these photos of you both doing just your everyday things!! Glad you're enjoying the cookbook, Lou :-) Love your drawing, Sean,
