Yes, this is where we have been for the last three weeks -- living above this amazing beach and spending time with very good friends. Having extra time on our hands in this beautiful, relaxing environment has been a great way to mentally prepare ourselves for returning home and, with internet access in our bedroom, has offered plenty of opportunities to reconnect with Arizona friends and family via skype and email.
This past Saturday we went for our last hike in the mountains here, down to the beach. We ooohed and ahhhed over the lush forest (for the millionth time) and admired the changing leaves on the kauri tree signifying the arrival of autumn. We will miss all this...

Well, this is our last post from New Zealand. Thank you to all of our wonderful hosts and the people we have met along the way who have made this time so fantastic. And thank you to all of our friends and family back home who have followed the blog and stayed in touch across such a great distance. Farewell, New Zealand, you are extraordinary. We hope to see you again some day.
Tomorrow afternoon we board the plane to L.A. and arrive in Tucson around 5:00pm. (Tuesday March 30 will be 48 hours long this year.) See you all back home!
