After our hike in the redwoods we made our way to the incredibly beautiful, Titkitapu or Blue Lake. We got this great recommendation from Sabine and we had an amazing time.
The view from our campThe park where we stayed was just on the edge of lake and offered free kayaks for touring the lake and a hot tub as perks. After camping in the forest we were overjoyed and decided to stay three nights. The lake was clear and a beautiful blue-green in its depths and was surrounded by dense native bush. We hope to make another visit later on after our South Island trip.
