Family!

The long awaited visit of Sean's sister, Caitlin, has finally arrived! She got in yesterday morning and we are thrilled to have the company of a family member and good friend for the next three weeks.


On her first day, we took her into the city and showed her around some of our favorite parts of Auckland. The first stop was a cafe take away breakfast on the top of Mt. Eden.

The next stop was the Domain, home to the Winter Garden and Auckland Museum. We spent a good part of the morning ogling the gorgeous flowers and admiring the exhibits and artifacts from Maori and other Pacific Island cultures.

Tulips were featured in the gardens, coming in every color you can imagine

We'll be traveling around the North Island with Cait until the end of the month, seeing everything we can, including the Coromandel Peninsula, the East Cape, Rotorua and Lake Taupo, and Wellington. We probably won't post again until the end of our little vacation, so we'll see you all then!
